How to Change Your Gnome Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop into KDE (Kubuntu)

March 19th, 2009

kubuntu-logoI recently have seen the beauty of Kubuntu, its desktop screen and its features as well. At firsts what I wanted to do is just to install Kubuntu themes on my Gnome Desktop, but I have found was a file for downloads which lets you do some tweaking inside your system, as I do not want to do that, so I opted to searched for more, then I have came upon into a web blog which teaches how to install a KDE stuff instead, so I copy the commands suggested, open my terminal window and pasted it in. After a couple of minutes. I restarted my laptop and a new environment shoes in front of me. After that, I have configured some stuffs like its panel as well as some widgets, and I started to get myself familiarized with the environment. I am starting to like it. Then I have realized a big smile in my face. So without much further ado, I will tell you the command codes, so that you too can experience the features of Kubuntu Environment.

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

kubuntu-desktop
